dc.description.abstract A man is serving Bacchus a new kind of wine made out of coconut. GRAPE DISEASE. Because of disease of the wine grapes, as well as limited sales of diluted wine by crooked wine merchants, the Charivari suggested that the working classes should switch to soft drinks. They also proposed to the workers in order to "guarantee" access to their daily wine rations, to participate financially in an ominous, newly created "Compendie Générale des Vins factices".....(this company would surely be selling water with a taste of wine it..).
