dc.description.abstract The Fisher-Bernstein Institute for Jewish Philanthropy and Leadership began mapping the field of Jewish education for the Jim Joseph Foundation in spring 2006. We started by looking at Jewish education (preschool through college) in select communities and by building a database of Jewish educational organizations, foundations, and programs. In order to develop a broad overview of the field, we interviewed executives in 16 national organizations concerned with Jewish youth education. We asked four basic questions: What are your top accomplishments? What challenges are you currently facing? Where is your work heading in the next three to five years? How does your organization fit (or not) with the rest of the Jewish educational infrastructure? en_US
