dc.description Late Byzantine, Provincia Syria-Palaestina, c. 400 – 600 C.E.
dc.description The tall red ceramic lamp has a rimmed mouth at the top and the body flares to a flat, circular base. On one side is a loop handle, which is attached at the lip and mid-body. On the other side at the base, a long spout with a small hole is attached. The body has raised ribs running horizontally around it. Black residue is visible around the spout which has been plugged by some depositional material.
