dc.description The gray clay handleless aryballos has a thick lip, and a short neck. The body widens to a bulge midway, and then narrows to a rounded bottom. There are dirt encrustations throughout and the piece is cracked. It is uncommon for aryballoi to lack a handle, or to possess this shape, nevertheless, without further information, this may be a regional variation.
