dc.description The terracotta handleless aryballos has a flared lip decorated with a horizontal groove in the middle of it. The short, narrow, straight neck curves into the bulbous body. The base is rimmed, red paint remaining around the top. The lip and the base are chipped. It is uncommon for aryballoi to lack a handle, or to possess this shape, nevertheless, without further information, this may be a regional variation.
