dc.description.abstract Again we see the King, this time climbing the steps to the Capitol while noting the Tarpeian rock on the left, where traitors of the nation had been pushed to death in mythological times. He climbs these steps all alone, just being watched from the distance by one of the priests. One can almost feel the catastrophy, which is about to happen.
