Abstract

Three men are discussing where they each saw Bonaparte; they cannot come to an agreement about it. Louis Napoleon had returned to Paris from abroad in June of 1848, and rumours were circulating in town that Prince Napoléon, had been seen all over town at different places at the same time. One of the three men even mistakes Louis Napoléon with the Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte.
