dc.description.abstract	On March 15,1848, just about a month after the successful Revolution and the departure of King Louis-Philippe, a large part of the National Guard was dissolved and sent home. This print shows one of those "citizen-soldiers" whose days of heroism are over as he mutates back into an everyday bourgeois.
