dc.description.abstract Caricature of the politician, Deputy, and financier, Jacques Lefèbvre (1773-1856). He was President of the National Bank of France and declined peership several times. The caption is a play on words with his name: "jacot"= parrot, "fève"= bean. The coat of arms shows money bags supporting a cashier's book. The composition is decorated with the cross of the Legion of Honor.
