dc.description.abstract This print is from a series that depicts the influx of tourists from abroad as well as the French provinces who came to Paris to visit the Exposition of 1844. It shows how the merchants of Paris often took advantage of the helplessness and inexperience of these travelers on their first trip to the capital.

But it's not really important. I will take it, since you assure me that this is how you will be dressing all the other members of the Jockey Club too!
