dc.description.abstract This print shows corruption and greed in its pure form. A deputy rides in an open coach, showing off his medals, fat belly and riches. In the back of the coach we can detect the proof of his many "successes": a government job for his son, an easy paper shoveling job for his maid etc... all these little perks are easily visible and easily understood by the public. The last name 'Ventrigoulard' is a combination of two words - ventripotent and rigolard - potbellied and joking. en_US
