Abstract:
In 2007, as part of the Mandel Center for Studies in Jewish Education’s commitment to generating
knowledge for the field of Jewish education, the center launched a Longitudinal Study of DeLeT
Teachers from both Brandeis and Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR).
The DeLeT Alumni Survey is part of the larger study that collects quantitative data in order to inform
DeLeT faculty and the community of Jewish education practitioners and policymakers about issues
concerning the identity, preparation, careers, and work of DeLeT alumni in particular and Jewish day
school teachers in general.
