dc.description.abstract We describe the contemporary American Jewish community and the ways in which it is changing. The focus then shifts to attitudinal data and the claim that political differences are causing a fissure in Diaspora-Israel relations. Finally, we describe the future prospects for the relationship of US Jewry to Israel. This article appeared in Israel Studies (Summer 2012) 18(3): 158-178.
