dc.description.abstract Presented here is a digital version of a recording of the latter part of a performance by Lenny Bruce at Basin Street West in San Francisco. He played engagements at the club in February and August of 1965. It contains the routines Jackie Kennedy Hauled Ass, To Come: The Verb Instransitive and Deny It. He mentions that journalist Dorothy Kilgallen is in the audience and talks about her. He ends by riffing about Barry Goldwater and Lyndon Johnson.
