Late Byzantine, Provincia Syria-Palaestina, c. 500 – 600 C.E.
The ovoid ceramic lamp has a small conical handle with a large rimmed hole at one end, and a small round hole in the extension of the other. The sides of the large hole are adorned with relief of olive branches. The sides of the elongated end have small relief circles. A rim runs around the two holes. The base is a relief circle inside which is a four-pointed star with another circle in its center. The inside is caked with dirt, and the handle is chipped.
