dc.description.abstract Based on the vote of November 4, 1848, the constituent assembly discussed the possibilities of transferring legislative power to an assembly directly elected by the people, while executive power would be transferred to the President of the Republic for a period of 4 years. The caption is a play on words" "chambre" means room or chamber, but it also represents the Parliament. "Cabinet" means cabinet or toilet. While one man at the bar is talking politics the other is thinking about his new apartment. en_US
